Thank
you for taking the time to look over this page. We think this project
is a great opportunity to showcase the beauty of Kodiak Island and the
talents of our great production team. We’re excited by the prospect of
presenting an appealing story set in the wilderness we love. And we are
confident that the quality of this production will be attractive to
both national and international film festivals.
We have many
great people working on this enterprise providing support, in-kind
services and equipment and sometimes money. We are inviting additional
support in a number of ways. We especially need people to help during
the production phase of the project. There is also a need for
some equipment and perhaps additional funds.

We
need people to help during production. We’re planning to film everyday
July 5-27 except Fridays. Of course, everyone familiar with
Kodiak knows that our weather is totally unreliable but we’re planning
to shoot through it all.
Tasks may vary from holding light
and sound equipment to hauling gear from location to location. The
photography is planned over an extended time period, but any help
offered would be appreciated, even if only a day or two. Unfortunately,
we cannot pay money. We will however provide food, fun, souvenir hat or
shirt, movie DVD and your name in the credits.
Some specific
positions include shot log journalist, sound technician, prop manager,
dailies inspector, documentary cameraperson, foodservice specialist
(purchase breakfast and lunch and bring to that days shooting
location), grips and director’s assistant.
We would like to
sign people up for specific jobs on specific days, but again any help
offered would be appreciated. Please contact us at
kiliudaproductions@gmail.com with any offers.
During the
production that address will be checked daily so we can direct ad hoc
volunteers to the next days shooting location. There will be a calendar
posted here with jobs and volunteers for people willing to make
commitments for certain dates (our favorite option). |
